About Me
Hi, I am Alia! Growing up as the eldest of five, caring for younger children has always come naturally to me. I attended a boarding school where I took on a pastoral role, managing roll calls, bedtime routines and day-to-day welfare for younger students. I volunteered throughout school working directly with younger children, and have tutored children aged 5-11 in English, designing structured and engaging lessons tailored to each child's pace and ability. I bring warmth, patience and genuine experience to every family I work with,not just as a babysitter, but as a responsible and caring presence children feel comfortable with.
My Experience
I have experience working with children through my time as a Native English Speaking tutor in Hong Kong, where i tailored lesson plans to every individual child's needs, as such i gained experience in working with children.
My Qualifications
I'm the eldest of five siblings, so I've been around childcare my whole life, helping with everything from daily routines to homework and keeping the peace during busy family moments. I also have formal teaching experience: I worked as a self-employed tutor, designing tailored lesson plans and tracking learning progress for individual students, which taught me patience and how to adapt to different ages and needs. I'm currently a Law student at the University of Nottingham, so I'm reliable, organised, and used to managing responsibility alongside a demanding schedule. I'm also bilingual in English and Urdu, which could be a bonus if that's useful for the family.
