About Me

Hi, I am Lucy, a registered Childminder living in Ashton Vale, Bristol.

I have a space available from October 2026 and would love to hear from families looking for a caring, nurturing and fun environment for their little ones.

I live in Ashton Vale with my partner Martin and our two children, who attend Ashton Gate Primary School. We also have a pet axolotl and some fish.

I have spent 20 years working with children in educational and caring roles. I am currently a part-time Childminder and Reception Teacher, and I am passionate about supporting children to thrive through child-centred learning and strong, caring relationships. I have many years of experience delivering the Early Years curriculum, supporting children’s learning through play and nurturing their social, emotional and communication skills.

I believe children learn best when they feel happy, safe and valued. My approach is centred around play, curiosity and helping children develop into confident, resilient and creative learners.

I am trained in Forest School teaching and absolutely love outdoor learning. I have a big garden with lots of space and resources for children to play, explore and investigate.
