My Summary
About Me
Full time Nanny position.
Hello! I am a 32 year old mum to an 11 month old baby, with 10 years experience working with children aged 0 - 10 in a variety of roles. I am a bubbly, energetic and caring person who genuinely loves working with children. I'm passionate about supporting children's development and feel privileged to play a part in their learning and growth. I love seeing children discover new things, following their interests and experiencing those magical moments of curiosity and wonder! I'm creative and theatrical and I use these qualities as tools to encourage children to engage in the fun activities I create. I am musical (and know most of the words to Disney songs) and love to have a sing-a-long! I build strong relationships quickly with both children and parents. I enjoy enabling families to flourish in a safe and nurturing environment which I help to establish with calm and consistent boundaries. I am happy to support with light household tasks that allow for the smooth running of daily life.
My favourite story to read: The Smeds and The Smoos
My favourite Disney film: The Jungle Book
My favourite item to bake with children: Flapjacks
My favourite activities: imaginative play, making music and messy play
My favourite nursery rhyme: The Wheels on the Bus
I am looking to join a family with my son (born September 2025)
My Experience
I am experienced in working with children up to the end of Year 6. I have been working as a qualified teacher since September 2021, having worked in schools as a Teaching Assistant for four years previously. Prior to this, I have been a Rainbows (Girl Guides) Unit Leader and have experience babysitting and a short term nanny placement.
I am now wanting to bring my experience to working more closely, and for longer, with individual children as a nanny. Throughout my teaching career, I've supported children with a wide range of needs, including helping children with SEN obtain EHCPs and being responsible for administering medical interventions for children with diabetes, asthma, ITP and severe allergies. All children in my care receive respect, love, kindness and fun! I encourage kindness and respect towards others and strongly believe in celebrating positive behaviour. I take a holistic, child-centred approach and believe every child deserves equal opportunities to learn, grow and feel safe and loved. I use positive reinforcement, responding thoughtfully rather than reacting to challenging situations. My most recent teaching role was as the Early Years Lead at my school, where I was responsible for a cohort of 90 children. This was a rewarding challenge that gave me extensive experience and opportunities to grow. I am passionate about early childhood development and feel that the child-led approach is transferrable across all ages, I'm confident following a child's curiosity wherever it leads!
