About Me

Hi, I’m Cara! I am a qualified practitioner and currently working in a private childcare establishment while studying Childhood Practice at university. I’m friendly, patient and easy going, and I really enjoy spending time with children and getting involved in their games, activities and interests.

I’m a relaxed and approachable person, and I like creating an environment where children feel comfortable and can just be themselves. Outside of work, I spend lots of time with my partner and our miniature dachshund, Elvis!

My Experience

I have 8 years of experience working with children 0-5+ I’m involved in all aspects of their day, from planning activities and supporting their development to mealtimes, outdoor play and helping children with their routines.

I am used to working closely with parents to make sure children are happy and well cared for. I also have experience with bedtime routines, toileting and settling children.

My Qualifications

I have an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) and several years of professional childcare experience. I’m also currently studying for a BA in Childhood Practice

I have a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, wellbeing and supporting children’s individual needs.

My Availability

I’m mainly available for babysitting in the evenings from 5:30pm onwards and weekends, alongside my full time job. I’m happy to discuss specific dates and times in advance.
