Live Out Nanny Job in Evesham
About Me
A little bit about us
We are a busy, happy family of six living on our family farm near Evesham. Life is definitely full-on, but it is also lots of fun, and we are looking for someone lovely to join our family and become a really important part of the team.
We have four children — 8-year-old twin girls (starting Year 4 in September), a 5-year-old girl (starting Year 1) and our 2½-year-old little boy.
We are lucky to live on a farm with lots of outdoor space, so there is plenty of opportunity for adventures, fresh air, playing outside and generally getting stuck into family life!
Tom farms, and I run a business from the farm. Although I work very close by, I am not generally in the house during the day, so we are looking for someone who is confident working independently and who enjoys taking charge, while knowing that I am nearby if ever needed.
My Requirements
This is a varied, flexible and very hands-on role. We are looking for someone who is happy to muck in with all aspects of family life and who enjoys being part of a busy household.
In terms of days of the week we can be flexible. Ideally someone after school everyday, from around 3pm until 7pm-ish. In addition; 2 full days a week with our youngest.
A big part of this will be collecting the three girls from school and taking them to their various after-school clubs, so being a confident and experienced driver is essential. School is around 25 minutes from home each way.
The 2 days a week with our youngest — can be being at home with him, playing, getting out and about and getting tea ready while I sort the girls out after school. He is a busy, sociable and very fun 2½-year-old who is generally up for anything and loves being out and about!
If only after schools are an option for you please still get in touch as these are the priority.
School holidays
The holidays are busy, but they are also one of the best parts of the job! We are looking for someone who would be happy to have all four children for adventure days, whether that means exploring, playing outside, going to activities or simply having a fun day together.
We can be flexible about converting some of the usual afternoon hours into full days during the holidays, if that works better for the right person.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys children and wants to build a long-term, consistent relationship with them.
We want someone warm, energetic, reliable and confident — someone who is happy to get involved, use their initiative and become part of the family team.
The children are all very different, so the role is never boring! We want someone who can be silly and have fun with them, but who is also confident setting boundaries and keeping everyone organised when things get hectic.
If you enjoy cooking, that would be a lovely bonus, particularly helping with family meals and children’s tea, but it certainly isn’t essential.
Above all, we want the children to have another lovely, consistent adult in their lives who they trust, have fun with and look forward to seeing.
Our current nanny has been with us for an incredible **7½ years** and is only leaving because she is embarking on a change of career. She has been a huge part of our family, so we know how special it is to find the right person.
She would also be very happy to chat to any interested applicants about the role and what life is really like working with us — so you can hear about it from someone who knows us and the children extremely well!
