My Experience

I have hands?on experience caring for children across Nursery, Reception and Year 1 through my PGCE placements, where I supported learning, behaviour, routines and wellbeing in busy early?years settings. I’ve planned and delivered activities in phonics, early reading, maths and creative play, and I’m confident managing groups as well as providing one?to?one support. Beyond school settings, I’ve worked with children in high?energy, high?responsibility environments including Disney Cruise Line and three summers as a theatre lead at GsNorCal Camps. These roles strengthened my safeguarding awareness, behaviour?management skills, and ability to stay calm, positive and organised. I’m also experienced in supporting children with transitions, bedtime routines, meal times and emotional regulation.

My Qualifications

I hold a PGCE in Early Years Education, giving me strong knowledge of child development, early learning, behaviour support and safeguarding. I am trained in Read Write Inc phonics, early maths pedagogy, and creating purposeful continuous provision. My background includes formal safeguarding training for nursery and school settings, as well as practical experience applying these principles in real?world environments. I also bring additional skills from childcare?related roles such as theatre leadership, creative activity planning, and working with children in international hospitality settings. I am confident supporting children’s learning, wellbeing and daily routines with professionalism and care.
