My Experience

I am an experienced teacher with 6 years of classroom experience at secondary level and can therefore provide English tutoring or support with homework during babysitting duties. Prior to joining the education sector, I have been a nanny, worked in a nursery and spend lots of time looking after my nieces since they were newborn. As a nanny, I looked after a two year old boy and prepared him for nursery, looked after him in the afternoons and did his bedtime routine. I would also accompany the family on days out for extra support where needed. I have also taken older students abroad (Tanzania for 4 weeks ages 15-18), supervised newborns and toddlers overnight and supervised on trips with young children. I am a first aider with ‘emergency first aid at work’ and have been trained in defibrillators for children.
For several years I worked as a seasonal elf and children’s entertainer! I love to build magic into children’s lives where I can and that role provided the most magical moments of my career.

BA Honours Jounralism - first class
PGCE English - distinction

My Availability

I can currently only offer occasional weekend duties and during school holidays.

• Babysitting from £25.00 per hour
