Looking for a Nanny/ Housekeeper for our two boys (aged 4&1)
About Me
Hello! We are a family of four; two busy professional parents and two energetic young boys, Adam and Alex, aged 4 and 1. We also have a big friendly male golden retriever dog, Freddie.
My Requirements
We are looking for a warm, professional, energetic and dependable nanny/ housekeeper to help with our two young boys. As we are both busy working parents, we would love to hire someone who is willing to jump into a “parents’ helper” role and take on whatever tasks we need help with that day. Having a UK driver’s license is essential for this role so please only get in touch if you have one.
We are looking for someone available to start ASAP and is interested in a long term commitment.
- The core responsibility of this role will be to look after our 1-year-old son Alex, who doesn’t go to nursery yet, and find engaging and age-appropriate activities to keep him busy and help with his development. He is fully walking and is very active, loves music and dancing, and is just beginning to communicate verbally. He is a happy smiley boy but like most 1-year-olds gets bored easily.
- Our 4-year-old son Adam will be starting reception in early September (9am-3:30pm). Although we plan to be super involved in drop offs and pick ups, having someone who can drive and help with this task is essential. You will then generally be expected to look after both children in the afternoons, which might include after school activities. Adam enjoys playing with Lego and is very proficient at building complex sets almost on his own (with some help), building elaborate train tracks with his Brio sets, and outdoor play. We have a large garden with lots of outdoor activities like a swing set, climbing frame and sandpit, but both boys also really enjoy being out of the house. Some of Adam loves the transport museum and the postal museum.
- We would also like help with cooking/ food prep for the boys, household laundry, and keeping the kitchen and playroom clean and tidy (mainly the dishwasher)
- We are flexible on exact hours, but 8am-7pm would be ideal.
- My husband and I often work from home so we try to spend as much time with the children as possible but we expect the nanny to have sole charge during working hours even if we are around.
- The nanny will not be expected to walk our dog Freddie, but must be comfortable with pets and we may occasionally ask you to feed him or let him out into the garden for a pee.
