After School Nanny with Special Needs Experience Job in Maidstone
About Me
## About Our Family ?
We are a warm, loving and busy family living in Maidstone.
We have two children, Rose and Jack, and family life is very important to us. Jack enjoys football, and both kids loves having someone who will genuinely engage and have fun with them
We have a fairly structured routine during the week, with the children home from school at around 4pm. We prioritise healthy home-cooked meals, family time and creating a calm, positive environment at home. I will do this part
We are looking for someone lovely to become a familiar and trusted person in Rose's life for a few evenings each month while Mum works.
Rather than simply having someone supervise her, we'd love to find somebody who enjoys interacting with Rose — doing arts and crafts, educational games, reading, puzzles, movement and exercise, playing and generally making their time together fun.
We'd particularly value someone who is patient, kind, energetic and comfortable adapting activities to Rose as an individual.
The right person for us will hopefully feel less like a traditional babysitter and more like a lovely activity companion who Rose is genuinely excited to see.
Above everything, we're a very loving family and want someone warm, trustworthy and caring who will feel comfortable in our home and enjoy getting to know Rose. ?
My Requirements
**After-School Activity Companion / Babysitter – Maidstone ME15**
We are looking for a lovely, warm and energetic person to spend time with our daughter, Rose, at our home in Maidstone.
The position would initially be approximately **2 hours on one Tuesday evening and two Wednesday evenings each month**, with the possibility of additional hours.
We aren't looking for someone simply to supervise. We'd love someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with children and can make the time fun and meaningful.
Activities might include:
• Movement and simple exercises
• Educational games
• Reading
• Arts and crafts
• Puzzles and problem-solving games
• Sensory/creative activities
• Outdoor play when appropriate
• Having dinner together and following Rose's usual evening routine
Experience supporting children with **autism/SEND would be particularly valued**, alongside a calm, patient and positive personality.
Enhanced DBS and excellent references are essential, and paediatric first aid would be strongly preferred.
Most importantly, we're looking for somebody Rose genuinely connects with and looks forward to seeing. ?
