My Requirements

I’m looking for a dedicated, organised and experienced tutor to support my daughter as she starts Year 7, particularly with English reading and comprehension, while continuing to stretch her in Maths and English.

She achieved 110 in Maths and GPS and 102 in Reading in her SATs. My priority is to strengthen her comprehension, inference and ability to understand and analyse more challenging texts, while pushing her beyond her current level across both subjects.

I’m looking for someone who understands the Year 6–7 transition and teaches for genuine understanding, not simply to pass tests. The ideal tutor will assess her level, identify gaps, set clear objectives and timelines, measure progress and provide regular feedback. I want someone committed and thorough who can challenge her appropriately and set her up strongly for secondary school.
