I hope you are well.

I currently foster my twin grandchildren (boy & girl Owen & Lilah) who were 3 years old in June this year, I also have an SGO for my older granddaughter Evie who is 8 years old, all siblings. The twins have been in nursery since just before they were 1 years old, they were 9 weeks premature, so their development was a little delayed. Lilah has almost caught up to children her age, whereas Owen has not. He is nonverbal and I believe on the spectrum, possibly autism, but I await a diagnosis still, all of his appointments with the right professionals are ongoing, working through the process.

The nursey has advised me last week that they can only accommodate 3 days per week going forward as they do not have the funding to provide one to one care in their current setting and capacity. Owen does not have any physical disability, he eats well, no mobility issues, and he does communicate by bringing things to you, or taking your hand and guiding to what he wants. He likes sensory toys, spinning things and lights.

I work for the Home Office full time and recently secured a promotion and I start on 7th September, I am required to complete 4 weeks training and need office attendance throughout this period, once training is over, I will be back to my normal flexi hours working pattern. I do have older children, but they all work as do my own siblings, and I am in the process of separating from my husband, so a lot going on.
