My Experience

I have over five years of experience working in education. I spent three years working as a Teaching Assistant in a mainstream secondary school, where I gained valuable experience supporting children and young people from a variety of backgrounds and with different needs.

Since starting university, I have worked for the past two years as a Teaching Assistant in Additional Learning Needs (ALN) schools alongside my studies. This is something I have thoroughly enjoyed and has given me valuable experience supporting children with a wide range of abilities and individual needs.

Across both mainstream and ALN settings, I have developed strong communication, patience, organisation and interpersonal skills. I particularly enjoy building positive relationships with children, supporting their development and helping them feel confident, included and valued. These experiences have also strengthened my ambition to become a primary school teacher.

My Qualifications

I have a range of GCSE qualifications, including Maths, English, Science, Geography and Catering, as well as an ECDL Distinction. I also hold a Level 1 qualification in Electrical Installation and have studied Business Studies at college. I am currently studying Primary Education at university, with my degree in progress.
