Anke
Full Time Housekeeping and Nanny Role (Live-Out)
About Me
We are a warm, loving and fun family of five living in Highgate. We have just returned to London, having lived in Germany for several years, and are settling back into family life in the area.
Our home is informal, energetic and occasionally a little chaotic. We are looking for someone calm, structured and practical who can bring organisation to the household while creating a warm and caring environment for our three children.
We have a curious, creative and caring girl aged 10; a playful and sensitive boy aged 8; and a loving, cheeky and mischievous boy aged 4. All three children attend the same school and are collected from after-school club.
We encourage the children to help with their own belongings and take part in age-appropriate household tasks. They are raised with warmth and encouragement, while also being expected to follow a few clear family rules and treat others respectfully. We would like someone who recognises each child’s strengths and supports them kindly with anything they find more challenging.
My Requirements
This is a combined full-time Housekeeper / Nanny position for someone who is warm, nurturing and comfortable taking responsibility for both the household and the children.
A central part of the role is the regular cleaning of the family home. This includes cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas and the kitchen, as well as keeping the house tidy and well maintained. The role also covers laundry, ironing, shopping and cooking. During the children’s school day, the focus will be on cleaning and preparing the house for the family’s return. The afternoons will centre around collecting the children, playing with them, helping with homework and taking them to friends or extracurricular activities.
We are looking for someone who notices what needs to be done and gets on with it without needing constant direction. The right person will bring calm, structure and reliable communication to a busy family home, while remaining flexible and hands-on.
Dinner should be prepared two to three evenings each week. We prefer relatively healthy, straightforward food and are otherwise not particularly fussy. Some flexibility around the working pattern would be appreciated, including occasional later evenings by arrangement if family plans overrun.
