Nanny in London
My Summary
About Me
Hello, I’m Terona! I’m a caring, passionate and nurturing childcare professional with over 5 years of experience as a childminder and 1 year as a nursery practitioner, which I’m still currently working as. I absolutely love working with babies and children and feel so lucky to be part of their development, learning and growth.
I’m now excited to begin a new chapter in my childcare career and move into nannying, where I can build meaningful, trusting relationships with both children and their families. I’m passionate about creating a safe, happy and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable, confident and encouraged to explore and learn.
I’m a warm, friendly, reliable and approachable person who takes great pride in providing attentive and personalised care. I understand how important it is for parents to feel completely comfortable and confident in the person caring for their little ones, and I would love the opportunity to become a trusted and valued part of your family’s routine.
My Experience
I’ve always had a genuine passion for caring for and working with children. I started babysitting and childminding from the age of 15, gaining valuable experience caring for children of different ages, personalities and needs. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with multiple age groups and have developed a good understanding of how to support children through their different stages of development.
I also spent a year studying Midwifery at university, which gave me valuable knowledge and insight into pregnancy, babies and early development. Although I realised that Midwifery wasn’t the right career path for me, it helped me discover where my true passion lies, which led me to Early Years and Education Studies.
I continued my studies in Early Years and Education up to Level 5, building a strong understanding of child development, learning, behaviour and providing children with the care and support they need to thrive. I unfortunately had to put my studies on hold due to family circumstances, but I’m proud to still carry all the knowledge and experience I gained with me, and I hope to complete my studies in the future.
I’m also currently working as a Nursery Practitioner, alongside my previous experience as a childminder, giving me a wide range of hands-on experience in childcare.
I’m passionate about creating a warm, safe and happy environment where children feel comfortable, cared for and encouraged to grow. I understand that choosing someone to care for your little one is a very important decision, and I hope my experience, knowledge and genuine love for childcare can give families confidence and reassurance when choosing me.
My Qualifications
I have a strong educational background in childcare, health and social care, and early years. I’ve completed Health & Social Care Levels 1, 2 and 3, giving me a good understanding of care, wellbeing and supporting individuals with different needs.
I have also studied Early Years and Education up to Level 5 and have completed all but my final graduate year. I’m hoping to return and complete my final year in the future, but I’m proud to already have the knowledge and understanding I’ve gained throughout my studies.
Alongside my education and hands-on childcare experience, I hold a full Enhanced DBS and a Paediatric First Aid qualification, ensuring I’m prepared to provide safe, responsible and attentive care.
I’m always keen to continue learning and developing my skills so I can provide the best possible care and support for the children and families I work with.
My Availability
I currently work as a Nursery Practitioner Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, so at the moment I’m mainly available for weekend childcare.
As I transition into nannying, I’m hoping to take on a more regular and consistent position and move into nannying full-time, I’ll have much more availability throughout the week and will be able to offer more regular weekday shifts.
I’m happy to discuss your family’s needs and find an arrangement that works well for everyone.
