Hi!
My name is Marie, and I’m an 18-year-old student originally from France. I moved to London to begin my studies in English and French Law at King’s College London.
I’m bilingual in both French and English, having spent several years living and studying in the United States, so I’m very comfortable communicating with children and families from different backgrounds.
I have a younger brother, so I’ve grown up regularly being around and helping to look after a younger child.
I’m a caring, responsible, and reliable person who genuinely enjoys spending time with children. I understand how important it is for parents to find someone they can trust, and I always aim to create a safe, fun, and positive environment for the children I look after.
I’m happy to help with activities, and entertainment, homework, reading, bedtime routines, and light tasks related to childcare. I’m also patient, organised, and adaptable to each family’s routines and needs.
As a native French speaker, I’m also happy to offer French tutoring or help children practise and improve their French in a fun and natural way. Whether your child is already learning French or you would simply like to introduce them to the language, I’d be happy to incorporate French into games, reading and everyday activities.

My Experience
I have been babysitting for the past five years and have experience caring for children aged between 3 and 12 years old.
I have provided both afternoon and evening babysitting and am comfortable with a wide range of childcare responsibilities, including picking children up from school or looking after them after school, helping with homework, preparing and supervising dinner, organising activities, playing with children, and following bedtime routines.
Through my experience, I have learned how important it is to adapt to each child’s personality and each family’s routine. I always aim to create a safe, fun and caring environment while also being responsible and reliable.
In addition to babysitting, I also have experience tutoring elementary school children during my time in high school. As a native French speaker and bilingual in French and English, I am particularly happy to help with French tutoring, homework support, reading and language practice.
My Qualifications
While I do not currently hold a formal qualification in childcare or tutoring, I have five years of practical babysitting experience and experience tutoring elementary school children.
Academically, I hold both the French International Baccalaureate and a High School Diploma. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in English and French Law at King’s College London.
As a native French speaker who is bilingual in French and English, I am also able to provide French tutoring and language support for children.
My Availability
I have a fairly flexible schedule and am available throughout the week for both regular and occasional babysitting.
I’m available on Monday afternoons and evenings, Tuesday after school and in the evenings, Wednesday afternoons and evenings, and Thursday evenings. I also have much greater availability from Friday through Sunday, including mornings, afternoons, after-school hours and evenings.
I’m happy to help with after-school care, evening babysitting, homework, dinner and bedtime routines, and I’d love to find families with whom I can build a trusting and reliable relationship!
