About Me
With over 10 years of experience in early years education and specialist childcare, I offer a professional, nurturing and highly personalised approach to supporting children and their families.
My experience includes working as a SENCO Assistant within an Outstanding-rated nursery, where I have developed extensive expertise in supporting children with additional needs. I independently plan and deliver SEN interventions, creating bespoke strategies and resources tailored to each child’s individual communication, developmental and emotional needs.
A particular area of my expertise is communication. I support children in finding the communication methods that work best for them, including Makaton, visual supports, First/Then boards, communication boards and ALD boards. I am passionate about helping children develop their confidence, independence and ability to express themselves, ensuring they feel heard, understood and valued.
Alongside my nursery role, I have spent my school holidays working as a nanny for families with children who have additional needs. This has provided me with valuable experience delivering individualised care within the family home and adapting seamlessly to each family’s routines, expectations and parenting approaches. I have cared for children from 2 to 11 years old, with a wide range of personalities, abilities and support requirements.
I also bring six years of housekeeping experience with one family, reflecting the high level of trust, consistency, discretion and reliability I bring to every position. I understand that inviting someone into your family home requires complete confidence and professionalism, and I pride myself on building long-standing relationships with the families I support.
My approach is calm, compassionate and child-centred. I take the time to understand each child as an individual, celebrating their strengths while providing the right support to help them flourish. I work closely and respectfully with parents and carers, ensuring that communication is open and that the care I provide complements each family’s needs and values.
I am incredibly passionate about the work I do and feel privileged to support children and families. My aim is always to provide exceptional, dependable care in which children feel safe, confident and encouraged to reach their full potential.

My Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience
I hold a range of GCSEs and, while I do not hold a formal childcare qualification, I have over 10 years of hands-on experience working with children in an Outstanding-rated nursery and within family homes.
Throughout my career, I have undertaken extensive SEN training and developed a wealth of specialist knowledge through practical experience. My experience has given me a strong understanding of child development, communication, behaviour and supporting children with additional needs.
I am committed to continually developing my knowledge and skills to provide the highest standard of care and support to every child and family I work with.

My Fees

• Nannying from £30.00 per hour (gross)

My childcare rate is £30 per hour, reflecting my 10+ years of experience, extensive SEN training and specialist knowledge supporting children with additional needs.
I am ideally looking for a regular, full-time arrangement across five days per week. I am happy to discuss individual family requirements, hours and responsibilities to create an arrangement that works well for everyone.
