My Experience

I worked as an Early Years teacher for 11 years, supporting children across Nursery, Reception and transitions into Key Stage 1. During this time I developed strong knowledge of child development, the EYFS, behaviour support, phonics, early literacy and creating engaging, child-led learning environments.

Across my teaching career, I supported children with a wide range of needs, learning styles and personalities. I planned and delivered EYFS aligned learning, supported speech and language development, encouraged independence, and created calm, curiosity-rich spaces where children could explore confidently. I also worked closely with families, SEN teams and other professionals to ensure every child felt understood, supported and celebrated.

Childminding gives me the freedom to take children out on daily adventures and use nature, movement and real experiences to support their learning and development. I am able to offer the same high quality early years practice I used in the classroom, but in a smaller, calmer, more personalised environment where each child’s interests truly lead the way.

My Qualifications

BA honours in Education (equivalent to level 6) - Grade 2:1
Childcare and Education Level 3 - Grade A
Higher Education Certificate in Education studies

My Availability

I am available Monday to Friday during term-time, and I can also offer additional support during school holidays and weekends on an ad-hoc basis. This flexibility helps parents who may need extra childcare at short notice or during busy periods.

My Fees

• Childminding from £8.00 per hour

-Pick up/drop off fees £4 each
- Breakfast: £1
- Dinner: £2
- Snacks: 50p (am and pm £1 full day)
- Consumables: £2/day
