Hello, I am a Nanny and former Childminder who is looking to return to the workforce. Born and bred in New Zealand, I was a Nanny, and Executive Nanny/PA/Housekeeper for over a decade, then when I moved here to the UK with my young family I worked as a childminder for a number of years.
I'm looking for jobs in excess of 25 hours per week.
My Experience
I am an experienced nanny and former childminder and I have two children of my own who are now teenagers.
I have a National Certificate of Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 3, NZQA) as well as other certificates in home based childcare.
I am DBS checked.
Throughout my career I've completed First Aid Training 6 times! I don't have a current certificate at present but I will do as I am booked on an Ofsted approved paediatric first aid training course for the 17th September.
I originally trained as a chef so I also hold certificates in professional cookery and food hygiene and nutrition.
I am a published children's author so I love to read with the children I care for.
I have cared for children from new-born to school aged, and I have previously looked after a child with Down Syndrome and a child with autism. My duties have included not just childcare but also housekeeper/PA roles such as cooking, shopping, running errands and so forth.
I have taken a break from the workforce for the past few years to concentrate on my own family while also pursuing a career in children's literature. I have had several books published, but am now looking for more stable and reliable employment!
