My Experience

I am an experienced nanny and former childminder and I have two children of my own who are now teenagers.
I have a National Certificate of Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 3, NZQA) as well as other certificates in home based childcare.
I am DBS checked.
Throughout my career I've completed First Aid Training 6 times! I don't have a current certificate but am more than willing to get one if need be. (Every year I completed this training I found nothing much changed other than maybe the CPR guidelines!)
I originally trained as a chef so I also hold certificates in professional cookery and food hygiene and nutrition.
I am a published children's author so I love to read with the children I care for.

I have cared for children from new-born to school aged, and I have previously looked after a child with Down Syndrome and a child with autism. My duties have included not just childcare but also housekeeper/PA roles such as cooking, shopping, running errands and so forth.
I have taken a break from the workforce for the past few years to concentrate on my own family while also pursuing a career in children's literature. I have had several books published, but am now looking for more stable and reliable employment!
