My Summary
Caring, Reliable And Friendly — Here To Make Life A Little Easier For Families
About Me
Hi, I’m Kirsty. I’m a caring, friendly and experienced childcare professional with over 15 years of experience working with children.
I currently work in a senior role within a nursery, where I’ve gained lots of experience caring for babies and toddlers, supporting their development and creating a safe, happy and nurturing environment. I’m also experienced in safeguarding and working closely with parents and families.
I absolutely love seeing children learn, grow and develop their own little personalities. I enjoy getting involved in fun, creative activities, messy play, reading stories, singing and most importantly, making sure children feel happy, comfortable and cared for.
I’m a patient and approachable person and I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident and reassured when leaving their children in someone else’s care. I always aim to treat every child as an individual and make sure they feel listened to, valued and included.
Outside of work, I’m a big Disney and Halloween fan, love being creative and spending time with my fiancé and our dog, Lucky.
My Experience
I have over 15 years of experience working in childcare and have worked in the nursery sector since 2010. During this time, I have progressed into senior and management roles and gained extensive experience caring for and supporting children from babies through to preschool age.
I am qualified to a high level in Early Years, having completed a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years (Level 3), a Foundation Degree in Early Years, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Honours degree in Early Childhood.
I currently work in a senior role within a busy private nursery, where I have responsibility for a large group of one- and two-year-olds. My role involves supporting children’s day-to-day care, learning and development, planning and providing activities, maintaining a safe and stimulating environment and working closely with parents and families.
I also have experience as a Deputy Safeguarding Lead, giving me a good understanding of safeguarding and the importance of keeping children safe and supporting their wellbeing.
Throughout my career, I have worked with children with a wide range of personalities, needs and developmental stages. I am confident with routines including mealtimes, sleep, play and learning, and understand how important consistency, patience and reassurance are for young children.
I’m passionate about providing children with a warm, nurturing and fun environment where they feel safe, valued and encouraged to be themselves.
My Qualifications
I am highly qualified in Early Years and Early Childhood, with a strong combination of academic knowledge and over 15 years of practical childcare experience.
My qualifications include:
• BTEC National Diploma in Early Years – Level 3
• Foundation Degree in Early Years
• BA (Hons) in Early Childhood
These qualifications have given me a strong understanding of child development, learning, safeguarding, wellbeing and the importance of providing children with a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.
Alongside my formal qualifications, my extensive experience in nursery and senior management roles has allowed me to put this knowledge into practice every day.
My Availability
I’m particularly interested in finding a regular nanny role where I can build a strong, trusting relationship with a child and their family.
I’m open to discussing both full-time and part-time nanny positions and would ideally like to find a family looking for someone reliable, caring and experienced to become a regular part of their child’s routine.
I’m happy to discuss different working patterns and days depending on the needs of the family. I’m also open to considering school or nursery runs, holiday childcare and occasional babysitting alongside a regular nanny role.
I’m looking for the right family where I can use my experience and qualifications to provide consistent, nurturing and high-quality care.
