About Me

Hi! We are a warm and friendly family looking for a caring, reliable and trustworthy person to become part of our family routine.

We are looking for someone who can provide support for our two children: our 20-year-old son, who has Down syndrome and attends college, and our 9-year-old daughter, who is at primary school.

Our son is a lovely, fairly independent young man who enjoys his college routine and mainly needs some additional support with getting ready in the morning and settling back in at home after college. Our daughter is a happy and active 9-year-old who needs support with school collection, homework, dinner and her after-school routine.

Our previous childcare support has been provided by a family member, but we are now looking for someone who can take over this role as our family circumstances are changing.

We are hoping to find someone who will become a trusted and valued part of our family — someone kind, patient, dependable and genuinely caring.

My Requirements

Live Out Nanny
After School Nanny
Part Time Nanny
Special Needs Experience
Household Help

We are looking for a part-time nanny/family support worker, primarily during term time.

The role will involve:

• Helping our 20-year-old son get ready for college in the morning and ensuring he is ready for his college transport.

• Being at home when he returns from college at around 3pm and providing support if needed.

• Collecting our 9-year-old daughter from school/after-school club.

• Bringing both children home and preparing a simple evening meal.

• Supporting our daughter with homework and her after-school routine.

• Supervising both children and helping them until their mum returns home at approximately 7pm.

Our son has Down syndrome and is fairly independent, but he can occasionally require support with medication and has an ileostomy. We would ideally like someone with previous experience supporting people with Down syndrome, SEN, disabilities, healthcare or medical needs. Medical experience is desirable, although we are happy to consider someone who is caring, capable and willing to learn.

Experience with children around primary-school age is also important.

We are looking for someone who is:
• Warm, kind and patient
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Experienced with children
• Comfortable supporting someone with additional needs
• Ideally experienced with Down syndrome/SEN
• Comfortable with medication and medical needs
• Ideally first-aid trained
• A confident driver with a full UK driving licence
• Comfortable working independently in a family home

A DBS check and suitable references will be required.

The position is funded by the local council and is a genuine paid role. We are looking for someone who would like to build a long-term relationship with our family and become a trusted part of our children's routine.
