About Me
Hello! We are a welcoming family living in Stirling. My partner is originally from Argentina and speaks to our 19-month-old exclusively in Spanish. I am Scottish and speak a mix of simple Spanish and English with her, as I am still learning and not yet fluent! Because we don’t have family nearby in Scotland, we are very passionate about increasing her native Spanish exposure so she grows up fully bilingual. Our daughter is wonderful but can be a bit wary of unfamiliar people so she can take a bit of time to warm up to strangers. She needs a warm, patient, and gentle caregiver who understands how to build confidence slowly. Once she feels safe and gets to know you, she opens up beautifully! We are looking for someone who feels like an extension of our family- sharing stories, singing songs, playing, and chatting to her exclusively in Spanish.
My Requirements
Language Requirement: Native or completely fluent Spanish speaker. Argentine/South American Spanish is a huge plus, but all native Spanish speakers are very welcome!
The Role: Interactive toddler childcare and play-based language immersion (reading stories, singing nursery rhymes, and chatting during playtime). You will be helping her bridge the gap between her two languages by speaking natively with her.
Key Traits: Extreme patience, a gentle nature, and experience helping shy or anxious toddlers build confidence and feel secure around new people.
