My Experience

Although I am new to working as a nanny, I have a range of caring experience that has given me strong skills in communication, patience, responsibility and providing individualised care.

From the age of 16 to 19, I was a carer for my younger brother, who has complex learning difficulties. This gave me valuable experience in understanding and responding to individual needs, maintaining routines, providing support and creating a safe, comfortable and positive environment. It also taught me to be patient, attentive and adaptable, as every child has different needs and ways of communicating.

I have also worked professionally as a care assistant, where I further developed my communication, organisation and caring skills. I am comfortable taking responsibility, following routines and making sure the people in my care feel safe, supported and listened to.

I always aim to create a fun, caring and supportive environment where children feel comfortable being themselves.

My Qualifications

I do not currently hold any formal childcare qualifications, but I have gained valuable practical experience through my previous caring roles. As mentioned previously, I was a carer for my younger brother, who has complex learning difficulties, which gave me hands-on experience providing individualised care and support.

I have also worked professionally as a care assistant, developing strong skills in communication, patience, responsibility, safeguarding awareness and supporting individual needs. I am keen to continue developing my skills within childcare and I’m very open to completing relevant training or qualifications in the future.

My Availability

I am currently working, so my availability is somewhat limited around my existing working hours (doesn’t interrupt after school hours). However, I am actively looking for the right nannying/babysitting opportunity and would be more than happy to make myself available on the days and hours required by a family. If I found a suitable long-term position, I would be willing to leave my current job to commit fully to working with a family.

My current hours are:
Sunday- 0800-1400
Monday- 0700-1300
Tuesday- 0700-1300

My Fees

• Babysitting from £13.00 per hour

My starting rate is £13 per hour, although I am happy to discuss this depending on the number of children, hours required and responsibilities involved. I am open to agreeing a rate that works fairly for both myself and the family.
