My Experience

I am a qualified primary teacher with a First Class BA (Hons) in Childhood Studies and a PGDE in Primary Education. I have experience teaching across Primary school from Early level to Second level of the Curriculum for Excellence and currently work as an Early Years Practitioner, giving me experience across both early years and primary education.

I have experience planning and delivering learning across literacy, reading, phonics and numeracy, assessing children's progress and adapting learning to meet individual needs.

I have supported children with different abilities, learning styles and additional support needs, and I understand that children learn at different rates and in different ways. I take a patient, encouraging approach and focus on building confidence as well as developing academic skills.

My aim is to create a positive learning environment where children feel comfortable, supported and proud of their progress.

I am registered with SSSC and GTCS and have a PVG checks ( in Scotland it is a PVG not DBS checks).

I currently work as an Early Years Practitioner and have extensive experience supporting children's learning and development from early years through to primary school age.

I have undertaken additional professional development in areas including literacy and numeracy, supporting children's emotional wellbeing, trauma-informed practice, autism and additional support needs, and child-centred approaches to learning.

My qualifications and professional experience allow me to provide supportive, personalised tutoring tailored to each child's individual needs, abilities and learning style.

My Availability

I am available for tutoring sessions on weekday evenings after 5pm and at weekends. I can offer regular weekly sessions or occasional support, depending on your child's needs.

I am based in Newarthill and can travel to families in Motherwell, Wishaw, Bellshill and surrounding areas. Online sessions may also be available by arrangement.

I am happy to discuss days and times that work best for you and your child.

My Fees

• Tutoring from £25.00 per hour

My tutoring rate is £25 per hour for 1:1 sessions.

Sessions are tailored to each child's individual needs and can focus on reading, phonics, literacy, writing, numeracy, maths or homework support.

I am happy to discuss regular weekly sessions, occasional tutoring or a block of sessions depending on what your child needs.

Travel arrangements and online sessions can be discussed when booking.
