Jessica
Part Time Nanny with Special Needs Experience Job in London
About Me
Kimmy’s key support needs:
* 10 years old, ADHD with a strong PDA profile
* Needs a low-demand, non-authoritarian approach – connection and trust before demands/compliance
* Can become dysregulated when she feels pressured, controlled or overwhelmed
* Needs someone calm and emotionally regulated who doesn’t escalate or get drawn into power struggles
* Does best with choice, flexibility, humour, playfulness and collaborative language
* Needs someone who understands that behaviour is communication rather than “naughtiness”
* Very bright, funny and creative; loves cooking/baking, swimming, gymnastics/cheer, arts & crafts, hair/beauty, animals and films
* Relationship/compatibility is extremely important – she needs to genuinely like and trust the person
My Requirements
We’re looking for one consistent SEN/PDA-aware nanny/support worker for Kimmy, ideally around 15 hours per week, who can do daytime support plus evening/late-night babysitting when needed.
What we need: reliable and flexible; warm, playful, patient and low-demand; SEND/autism/ADHD experience, ideally PDA; available for regular daytime hours and occasional late nights; looking for something ongoing; willing to build trust with Kimmy gradually.
Driver/car: preferably someone who drives and has their own car, as Kimmy finds walking difficult and this would make activities/outings much easier. Not essential if everything else about the candidate is a great fit, as we can work around transport.
