About Me
We are looking for a warm, experienced qualified primary teacher to work 1:1 with our 7-year-old son at our home near Colchester.
He is entering Year 3 and is bright, curious and sociable, with a love of maths, science, technology, sport and practical learning. Due to a chronic, fluctuating medical condition, he is home schooling and has missed significant periods of Years 1 and 2 and needs a flexible approach to identify and close learning gaps.
We are looking for support during the school day during term time, ideally for a full day combining focused teaching with projects, educational play, outdoor learning and appropriate breaks.
Ideally you will have QTS, an enhanced DBS and SEND experience. Experience of home education, alternative provision or children with health-related barriers to school attendance would be particularly valuable.
Above all, we're looking for a kind, engaging and adaptable teacher who can make learning enjoyable while helping him progress at a pace appropriate to his health and energy.
My Requirements
Available for one full day per week during term time — Monday, Tuesday or Friday are all flexible. This is a regular, long-term weekly commitment. We can discuss rates with the right person.
