My Requirements

My work is based from home so I am looking to find a child-minder who is available for drop in part-time or possibly full-time help. I am very open to flexible options and really could use some advisory nature on how this works for the childminder/nanny end. We are seeking someone who is kind, firm with boundaries, speaks English fluently, and will focus on interaction, natural and Montessori learning, and is open minded. My husband is Sri Lankan, so if you speak Sinhala that is a plus and I am teaching him American Sign Language so also helpful.

I unfortunately do not drive on my own yet (currently with provisional) and we are working to get a car for me to be able to do drop off and pickup. Currently, my husbands schedule provides us childcare sometimes during the week, however, his schedule is not set on the same dates weekly. We are seeking someone who is available for government funded hours at his 9 month - 1 year mark. We are able to provide his schedule 1 month - 2 months in advance and are happy to entertain flexibility to ensure whomever we work with is receiving enough hours and that we are receiving the care we need. Happy to discuss as honestly this is our first child and since I am foreign and the process is much different than the U.S., I’d love to discuss with someone in the field what can be done for our unique situation.
