Nanny / Housekeeper – Rural Family Home
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and proactive Nanny / Housekeeper to join our busy family home and provide a helping hand with childcare and household duties.
We are a family of four — two busy professionals with two children aged 12 and 14 — plus our much-loved dog. We live rurally between Harrogate and Otley and are looking for someone who will become a valued part of our household, helping things run smoothly while we are at work.

We are ideally looking for someone to work:
• Term time: Wednesdays and Thursdays, 1pm–6pm
• School holidays: 7 weeks per year, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10am–5pm
This works out at approximately 50 hours per month on average across the year. We would pay a regular monthly amount throughout the year, rather than varying the payment according to school term dates.
We can be somewhat flexible around the exact hours, but the days of the week are fixed.
The rate of pay would be £17–£20 per hour, depending on experience, skills and suitability for the role.
The Role
The role will involve a mixture of household and childcare responsibilities, including:
• Preparing home-cooked meals for the family
• General household cleaning and tidying
• Laundry and ironing
• Helping with the children's day-to-day needs
• Taking the children to sports clubs and other activities during school holidays
• Helping to keep the household organised and running smoothly
• Dog walking, if this is something you would enjoy.
A full driving licence and access to your own car is essential, as driving the children to activities will be an important part of the role.

Employment would be subject to references and a DBS check. Start date October 2026.
