About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in Alfold. I have two children of my own. I love going out on trips and doing activities with the children such as messy play, forest activities and arts and crafts. Our favourites are Fishers Farm and Wild tots in Cranleigh!
My Experience
I became a childminder after having my children and wanted to spend more time with them which being a police detective at the time couldn’t allow for! My mum was a childminder for over thirty years so I have plenty of experience in the childminding world. I have helped various families either long term or ad hoc providing flexibility of hours and particular needs.
My Qualifications
I am First Aid trained both for childminding but also have been a police detective for the last 6 years and have plenty of experience with young children including my own.
My Availability
I currently have space from start of January 2027 for a full time child, hours between 7 if necessary to 6pm. I can also offer less days if 5 days is not needed.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £9.00 per hour
I am happy to accept funded hours and tax free childcare. My hours over the 30 free hours are £9ph.

I have used Amy a few times now as an ad hoc babysitter for my two children who are 5 and 1. She has such a caring nature and feel at ease when leaving my children in her care. I recieve regular check ins and always feel reassured that my children are experiencing the best care possible. Will continue using Amy when we need a babysitter. Thank you!

Amy has settled in our little girl beautifully. We feel unbelievably lucky to have found such a caring childminder. Amy takes our daughter out to a range of fun activities each day throughout the local area and shows great care. Amy also updates you through the day using the kinder app. It’s lovely to see pictures each day.
