About Me
Hi! I’m Amelia, a friendly and caring university student studying Social Work. I have always gravitated towards working with children of all ages and thoroughly enjoy creating a fun and safe environment where they feel comfortable and happy. Through my experience, I have come to understand the different personalities, interests and needs that make every child unique, and I would love the opportunity to get to know your child!
As a middle child myself, I like to think I have developed plenty of patience and resilience! I’m adaptable to whatever you and your child/children enjoy, whether that’s playing games, reading stories, helping with homework or simply being an entertainer. I love getting involved in all the fun!
I understand that it can feel scary leaving your child with someone you don’t know very well, but I can assure you that I am someone who takes responsibility seriously. I would love the opportunity to get to know you and your family and provide a trustworthy, caring and reliable service :)
My Experience
Despite currently being a student, I have gained valuable experience working with children through a variety of roles. I have worked in a nursery setting with children aged 0–4, alongside working in their holiday and after-school club with children aged 5–10. In both of these roles, I supervised children, supported activities and created positive relationships with both the children and their parents.
I have also previously worked as a party worker, which was one of my most fun roles! I spent my weekends dressing up as Disney princesses or a Hogwarts witch and leading children’s birthday parties. This involved organising party games, keeping the children entertained and making sure everyone was included in the fun!
Throughout these roles, I have developed a strong understanding of children’s routines, which I know are important for both children and parents. I understand how to create a fun and safe environment where children feel comfortable, happy and able to explore. I love working with children and enjoy bringing plenty of energy and enthusiasm to everything I do!

My Availability
I would love the opportunity to become a trusted part of your child’s care and support your family whenever needed. I am currently available to babysit on Fridays and weekends, with potential availability for evening babysitting during the week depending on my university schedule.
