Emily
Nanny in Lincoln
My Summary
About Me
Hi :)
My name is Emily and I’m in my late 20s. I’m an Aussie primary school teacher with a genuine passion for working with children and creating a warm, safe and positive environment for them to grow and thrive in. I’ve always loved spending time with children, and being a teacher has given me plenty of hands on experience caring for and supporting children across different ages and personalities.
I grew up in a regional town with my family before moving to Melbourne to go to university and start my teaching career. I’m currently hoping to spend some extended time in the UK, where I have family and would love the opportunity to work as a nanny while I’m here.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, gardening, playing pickleball and spending time with friends and family. I’m a calm, responsible and organised person, and I really value creating a relaxed and happy environment where children feel comfortable, supported and cared for. As a teacher, I’m also very comfortable keeping children engaged through play, creative activities, reading and learning, while making sure they’re having fun along the way :)
I’m reliable, tidy and respectful, and understand how important it is for parents to feel completely confident that their children are in safe and caring hands.
My Experience
I’ve been working with school aged children for many years, both professionally and through babysitting for family and friends. As the oldest in my family, I’ve always been around younger children and have been the go to babysitter for family friends for as long as I can remember.
For the past four years, I’ve worked as a primary school teacher, giving me extensive hands on experience supporting school aged children with different personalities, interests and needs. Through teaching, I’ve developed a strong understanding of children’s development, routines and wellbeing, as well as how to create a safe, positive and engaging environment.
Before becoming a teacher, I also worked as a swimming teacher and ran children’s birthday parties at the local leisure centre. These roles gave me lots of experience keeping children engaged, managing groups and making sure everyone was safe while having fun.
I’m confident caring for school-aged children independently and enjoy getting involved in their day-to-day activities, whether that’s helping with homework, playing games, getting outdoors, doing creative activities or simply keeping them company. I’m also comfortable helping with after school routines, meals and bedtime. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and love getting to know their individual personalities and interests.
My Qualifications
I’m a fully qualified primary school teacher with a Bachelor of Education and four years of teaching experience. I hold a range of current training and certifications relevant to working with children, including:
- Bachelor of Education
- First Aid training
- Annual CPR training
- Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
- Safeguarding Children certificates in both Australia and the UK
- Fully registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
- Current UK DBS check
I currently meet the standard requirements to teach in both the UK and Australia
My Availability
I’m currently travelling around the UK and completing house sits, looking after people’s cats while they’re away on holiday. Because of this, I’m not able to be away from the house for the majority of the day or overnight, but I’m very flexible with my time and can accommodate split shifts, school pick-ups and after-school care into the evening.
I’ll be in north London from 15–20 September and then Camberley from 21 September – 3 October. I’d love to help out with regular or occasional nannying during these dates, particularly around school hours and after-school routines.
If you’re looking for someone reliable, caring and experienced to help with school pick-ups, afternoon activities, homework, dinner or bedtime, please feel free to get in touch, via text or WhatsApp :)
