My Requirements

I’m looking for a lovely, warm and trustworthy female nanny/mother’s helper to help with my 16-month-old daughter on a regular basis in our home. I’ll be at home during the sessions, but I’m looking for someone who can fully take over with her for a few hours while I get things done or have some time to myself.

She’s very active, curious and a fast learner, so I’d love someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with toddlers rather than simply supervising them. This would include playing with her, reading and talking to her, helping develop her speech and communication, teaching her new words, colours, numbers, songs and actions, and coming up with fun, age-appropriate activities that help her learn through play.

I’d particularly love someone who speaks Urdu fluently and would be happy to use Urdu naturally with her through conversation, songs and play, as I’d love her to learn and hear more of the language. Familiarity with Pakistani or Muslim family life would be a bonus, although the most important things to me are warmth, patience, reliability and genuinely enjoying being around children.

Experience caring for babies/toddlers is important, along with references and preferably an Enhanced DBS. Paediatric First Aid would also be a bonus. You should be comfortable with nappies, snacks and normal toddler care.

I’d like the same person consistently so that my daughter can get to know you, feel completely comfortable with you and look forward to seeing you.

We have visible CCTV in the main areas of our home for security and peace of mind. This is fully disclosed, with no cameras in private areas.

I’d like to have an initial chat/meet followed by a paid trial session before deciding, as it’s really important that both my daughter and I feel comfortable with the person we choose.
