My Experience

My experience working with children has been incredibly rewarding and has helped me develop a strong understanding of their needs, personalities, and individual routines. From June 2025 to January 2026, I volunteered for seven months at a nursery, where I gained valuable hands-on experience caring for children in a busy childcare environment. I supported children with their daily routines, encouraged them through play and learning activities, and helped maintain a safe, happy, and welcoming environment.

During the summer of 2026, I worked as a private nanny, where I was responsible for caring for a newborn and an 18-month-old child. This role gave me valuable experience caring for children at different stages of development and managing their individual routines and needs. I provided attentive care, supported daily activities, and ensured both children felt safe, comfortable, and happy. As part of my role, I was also responsible for cooking and preparing meals for the family, ensuring meals were suitable for the children and the family’s needs. These experiences have strengthened my patience, responsibility, communication, and confidence in childcare. Most importantly, they have shown me how much I love caring for children and supporting their development.

My Qualifications

Due to the nature of my university course I have completed all health checks , declarations of good character and I will have an enhanced dbs check once started. I have also completed first aid as well as many food hygiene and safety training from working in hospitality.

My Availability

I am a midwifery student with a fluctuating timetable however every Tuesday and Wednesday I have free , as well as majority of evenings and weekends .

• Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
• Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)
