My Summary
About Me
I am a highly experienced primary teacher with over 15 years in the classroom, including 13 years specialising in Year 6. Throughout my career, I have developed a deep understanding of the KS2 curriculum and the demands of SATs, helping hundreds of pupils approach their assessments with confidence and success.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have worked as a Local Authority Writing Moderator and am STA-approved, giving me expert insight into how writing is assessed at a national level. I have also been a marker for KS2 SATs, so I understand exactly what examiners are looking for and how children can maximise their marks.
I also have extensive experience working with pupils with SEND and high needs. As a parent of a high needs child myself, I experience first hand on a daily basis how adaptive practice needs to work to support children to access life! Having worked with pupils with SEND in the classroom, I believe every child learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit individual needs - whether that’s building confidence, closing gaps in knowledge, or stretching high-achievers further.
Maths is a particular passion of mine, and I love finding creative, memorable strategies that make tricky concepts click. I pride myself on making lessons engaging, approachable, and even fun, helping children feel motivated and capable in their learning.
Above all, I focus on creating a positive, encouraging environment where children feel understood and supported. My goal is not only to improve results but to build confidence, independence, and a genuine love of learning! :)

I have also been an assistant headteacher for two years, working with children all over the primary setting.
