My Requirements

We’re looking for a warm, reliable and experienced part-time nanny from January 2027 for approximately six months, caring for our son on his non-nursery days.

Days and hours: Ideally Wednesday and Thursday, either 8am–5pm or 8:30am–4:30pm, with the hours agreed in advance. We would also consider someone available for just one of these days.

We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience caring for toddlers around 1–2 years old, who is confident managing the day independently. A patient, responsive approach is important to us, including supporting meals, naps and everyday transitions gently and following an agreed routine. We value reliability, good safety awareness and honest communication.

The role would include preparing simple toddler meals and snacks, supporting naps and nappy changes / potty training, enjoying age-appropriate play and outings, and keeping his eating and play areas tidy. We’d particularly welcome someone who enjoys books, music and outdoor activities. No general housekeeping is expected.

We would require excellent childcare references, an appropriate enhanced DBS check including the Children’s Barred List and up-to-date paediatric first-aid training. The relevant checks and training would need to be in place before sole-charge care begins.

Lithuanian or Polish language skills would be a lovely bonus, but are not essential.
