I am an Australian graduate Primary School Teacher, having completed my university degree in October 2026. I am passionate about working with children, meeting new people and embracing new experiences.
Growing up in Australia, I developed a love for the outdoors and adventure. I have spent much of my life hiking, scuba diving, swimming at waterfalls, fishing and exploring the outdoors. I am also very passionate about sport and physical activity, having participated in a wide range of sports throughout my life. I am just as enthusiastic about watching sport and love the sense of community and connection that comes with it.
I have a very outgoing, enthusiastic and humorous personality. I am always up for a challenge and love to make everything I do entertaining, fun and full of optimism!
In January 2027, I am planning to relocate from Australia to Edinburgh. After completing my university degree, I am excited to experience life in a new country, explore more of the world and immerse myself in a different culture and community.
My Experience
I am a graduate Primary School Teacher from Australia, having completed my Bachelor of Education (Primary) in October 2026. Throughout my degree, I gained professional teaching experience across Prep to Year 6, working with students of different ages, abilities and learning needs. During my professional experience placements, I planned and delivered lessons across curriculum areas, assessed and monitored student learning, differentiated instruction, supported student wellbeing, and managed classroom routines and behaviour. My final professional experience involved taking on the responsibilities of a classroom teacher, giving me extensive practical experience alongside my university studies and preparing me to begin my career as a qualified primary teacher.
My experience with children also extends into the early childhood years. I worked with Autism Queensland’s EarlyAQtion program, supporting children aged 2–5 years through early intervention. This provided me with valuable experience supporting young children with autism and other developmental needs, including their communication, social development, emotional regulation, independence, play and participation.
I also have experience working as a Teacher Aide, supporting students with a range of complex needs, disabilities and learning difficulties. In these roles, I provided individualised assistance to support students’ learning, communication, participation, regulation and wellbeing within educational environments.
Alongside my education experience, I have worked as a disability support worker for six years, supporting individuals and their families with diverse and complex support needs. This has developed my skills in communication, personal care, behaviour and emotional regulation support, promoting independence, and adapting my approach to each individual's needs.
Outside of my professional experience, I have three nieces under the age of two and regularly assist family members with their care. This has given me additional hands-on experience caring for babies and toddlers and supporting their daily routines, play and development. Combined with my early intervention and primary teaching experience, I am confident caring for and working with children across a wide range of ages.
