About Me
Hi, I’m Matilda! I’m studying Geography and Politics at the University of Glasgow and I love working with children. I’m a huge fan of games, cooking and getting stuck into creative activities. I’m naturally a very organised and tidy person and I’d love to create the perfect environment for your child, whether that’s through playing games, cooking together, helping with homework or simply having a relaxed afternoon/evening!
My Experience
I’m an older sister and the oldest cousin of eight, so I have lots of experience looking after children of different ages in a home environment. I’m also a qualified sailing instructor, where I regularly work with children and young people, teaching them new skills and making sure they are safe, engaged and having fun. This has given me plenty of experience taking responsibility for groups of children, adapting to different personalities and staying calm and confident when things don’t go to plan.
My Qualifications
- First aid qualification - Trained Scottish fire and rescue volunteer firefighter - Watersports and Dinghy instructor - 3 A levels of ABB - Experience teaching all ages and characters
My Availability
I’m a university student and I’m involved in several sports clubs, so my availability can be a little more limited at weekends and on some evenings. However, I’m very flexible around my university timetable and am happy to consider any childcare opportunities that fit around my schedule. I’m always happy to discuss specific days and times, so please feel free to get in touch!
