Seeking Au Pair for Three Kisds, 4-9
About Me
We are a fun-loving, warm and adventurous family of five. We have an nine-year-old daughter and two sons, ages seven and four. All three are in the same school! Both parents work full time, often from home.
The mother is an American and the father is Britsh. The lucky kids are dual citizens! Our oldest is high spirited, daring and very independent for a nine-year-old. She requires all the normal support of a kid that age but is very happy to spend time with new people and go new places. She likes dance, art and socialising. The middle child is sweet, determined and a little more reserved than his older sister, although he does enjoy imitating her and basically worships the ground she walks on. He loves singing and Pokemon cards. The youngest is a smiley and very active little boy. He loves building, play dough and music. He is allergic to mustard and pineapple.
We live in a five bedroom Muswell Hill, a leafy neighbourhood in North London. There is a large room with an en-suite for the au pair. The house has a lovely garden and is a short walk to all the restaurants and shops on the Muswell Hill high street. It's a 20 minute walk or short bus ride to the East Finchley tube situation. Both parents work from home most of the time right now. We are near Coldfall Woods and Alexandra Palace.
My Requirements
We are looking for someone to both help with childcare and light housework. Specifically, this would include school drop offs and pick ups (it's a two minute walk from our home), preparing dinner (Monday through Thursday) and the children's laundry. We would also expect our au pair to help keep the house tidy, but to be clear, we will also have a cleaner that will perform the heavier housework, such as mopping and toilet maintenance. Other support we would like is help to get the children ready to leave the house in the morning and help with the bedtime routine as needed. We would also like two nights of babysitting per week. We are looking for someone that is flexible. While we will respect boundaries, we are looking for someone that understands that schedules/needs change and can adapt.
This will be our fifth time taking on an au pair. With some experience under our belt, we feel confident we can navigate this relationship so both sides end up happy with the arrangement.
