Hi, I’m Abbie! I’m a newly qualified Children’s Nurse with a genuine passion for caring for children and helping them feel safe, happy and comfortable.
I’m patient, caring, reliable and approachable\. I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident that their child is in safe hands, and I always aim to create a calm, fun and nurturing environment while following parents’ routines and preferences.
I am currently looking for occasional, short-term and one-off babysitting opportunities rather than long-term regular childcare. I’m happy to provide childcare in your home and can help with activities and play, meals, bedtime routines and general childcare.

My Experience
I have recently completed a Children’s Nursing degree and have worked in a nursery caring for babies and young children. I have experience supporting children’s individual needs, organising age-appropriate activities and play, and building positive relationships with children and their parents or carers.
Through my nursing training, I gained experience caring for children and babies across a variety of settings, including neonatal intensive care, children’s surgery, oncology and community services. This has given me a good understanding of children’s different developmental, emotional and physical needs\.
I am also comfortable caring for babies and children with additional or complex needs due to my nursing experience.
My Qualifications
I have completed all of the requirements for my BSc (Hons) Children’s Nursing degree at UWE Bristol and am currently awaiting my final results and formal degree award.
During my training, I completed placements across a range of paediatric settings, including Neonatal Intensive Care, children’s surgery, oncology, adolescent care, school nursing and health visiting. This has given me extensive experience caring for babies, children and young people with a variety of needs.
I have also worked in a nursery caring for babies and young children, alongside my nursing studies.
I have completed training in areas including safeguarding, first aid, infection prevention and recognising deterioration, and have experience caring for children with additional and complex need
My Availability
I’m currently available for occasional, short-term and one-off babysitting, including evenings and weekends. My availability can be flexible depending on the day and time required, so please feel free to message me with your childcare needs and I can confirm whether I’m available.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
