About Me
Hi, I’m Keira! I’m a 22-year-old qualified Occupational Therapist and experienced Girlguiding leader with a real passion for working with children. As the oldest sibling and grandchild, I’ve always been surrounded by children and love creating a fun, safe and caring environment where they feel happy and special. I’m reliable, organised and safety-conscious, with Girlguiding first aid, resuscitation and Safe Online training. I’m happy to get involved in whatever your child enjoys — from playing Barbies and dressing up to crafts, games, films, reading or trips out! I’m also more than happy to help with homework, prepare meals, tidy up, do light cleaning and support with bedtime or daily routines. I work Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, so I’m available for evenings after 4pm, weekends and overnight childcare if required. I’d love to be an extra pair of hands and make life a little easier for your family! ?

- I have over 6 years of experience as a Girlguiding leader (Rainbow's and Brownies) working with children aged 5–10. This has developed my strong skills in childcare, safeguarding, communication and creating engaging, age-appropriate activities, while supporting children’s confidence, independence and individual needs.
Supported children with different needs, ensuring I was aware and knowledgeable of any medical issues, emergency contact and communication styles to ensure safety in our sessions.
??Babysitting/childcare
- I have extensive hands-on childcare experience through regularly babysitting for family friends and younger relatives, caring for children of different ages and supporting with play, meals, routines and bedtime.
??Growing up with a single parent, I naturally took on a caring and supportive role with my two younger siblings from the age of 15. I helped with homework, school preparation, meals and morning and bedtime routines, which taught me to be responsible, patient and dependable. It also gave me a genuine understanding of how important it is for children to feel safe, cared for and supported.
??As part of my Occupational Therapy training, I have supported the delivery of a functional skills group for Reception-aged children, focusing on developing the key skills they need for everyday activities and school. This included supporting their independence, coordination, fine motor skills and confidence through fun, engaging activities tailored to their individual needs.
