LIGHT-HOURS LIVE-IN ROLE:
I'm 46, a single mum working full-time in a professional role in Soho. My two sons (young teens) attend The German School in Richmond — both are kind, easy-going and pretty independent, into basketball and martial arts, with one also keen on gaming and animals. In my free time I enjoy reading, podcasts, yoga and running, and love catching up with family and friends.
We live in a lovely 4-bedroom house with a garden near the river in Ham, on the Richmond border — close to parks, the Thames and a 20-25 min direct train to central London. You'd have your own furnished room with WiFi and a private bathroom.
My Requirements
This is a light, flexible role — around 10 hours/week in term time — ideal alongside studies or another job. I'd need you around on 2-3 weekday evenings (from 7pm at the latest) plus the occasional weekend evening, whenever I'm out or working late: making a simple dinner, helping with homework if needed, and general company, plus making sure the boys are in bed on time. On the odd early morning (2-3x/week) I'd also need help making sure they're getting up between 6:45-7:00am.
When I travel for work (max 2-3 nights at a time, approx. once a month), you'd stay in the house overnight — off duty once the boys are asleep, with backup on call if needed. Light housework — tidying up, laundry, watering plants — is part of it too. Free board and lodging, plus pocket money and extra pay for additional hours in school holidays if needed.
