About Me
Hi there! My name is Marina, and I love being able to get to know each kid, and to try to work out what matters to them, makes them passionate, and therefore excited about the subjects.
My subject speciality is Drama I am also able to offer tutoring for English, Creative Writing, Mindfulness.
I have dyslexia, elements of dyspraxia, and dyscalculia; I am on a 15 year waiting list for an ADHD diagnosis; and I have anxiety and depression. So, I understand when education is not built for you. I also my father had Huntington’s disease, and I spent a lot of my time helping with his care when I was still at school. I understand that kids can have a lot on their plate.
I’ve made Edinburgh my home on and off since 2013.
My Experience
I used to regularly tutor my friends in high school, back then I mostly did Chemistry, Physics and Biology tutoring.
I was providing peer to peer academic support workshops at university during my undergraduate.
I have a year Teaching Assistant Experience in Drama.
My Qualifications
I have a MLitt (Merit) from the University of Glasgow 2021-2022.
My Availability
Flexible on discussion. I have one Saturday a month I am unavailable
