Nanny in Haywards Heath (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
Hello, my name is Lara!
I am a friendly, caring, responsible and fun Psychology graduate, specialising in child psychology from the University of York, with a DBS check.
I really enjoy spending time with children and dogs, and I'd love to help a family with their day-to-day routine, including school pick-ups, preparing food, and keeping the children entertained! I’m happy to get involved with whatever the children enjoy, whether that’s playing, getting outside, doing activities or helping with homework.
I’m reliable, patient, approachable, and I’d always want the children I look after to feel comfortable, happy and well cared for, while also giving parents peace of mind that their children are in safe and capable hands :)
My Experience
I have plenty of experience working with children across a range of ages and settings. I worked at Ardingly College for a whole term, primarily supporting children in Pre-Prep, as well as pupils across the school up to Year 9. I supported children throughout their day, both in the classroom and through pastoral care in boarding, including providing 1-1 support and supervising them outside the classroom.
I also got involved in sports and activities, taking children out on trips and helping to create fun activities for them to enjoy. I really enjoyed getting to know the children and building positive relationships with them, while making sure they felt supported, comfortable and well cared for.
My Qualifications
I graduated from the University of York with a BSc in Psychology. This gave me a strong understanding of child development, through social and cognitive development, behaviour and individual differences. In my final year, I chose to study Social Cognitive Development as one of my modules, further developing my understanding of children and how they grow, learn and behave.
My Availability
I’m currently looking for part-time childcare work and have strong availability throughout the week. I’m flexible and happy to work around a family’s routine and childcare needs, whether that’s regular weekly hours, school pick-ups, full days or occasional additional hours. I’m also happy to be flexible and increase my hours where needed if the right family arrangement develops. I’m generally available Monday to Friday, although I play hockey on Tuesday evenings and on Saturdays. I can also occasionally help with further weekend childcare when arranged in advance!
My Fees
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
- Nannying from £14.00 per hour (gross)
My standard rate is £14 per hour for both babysitting and nannying. I’m happy to discuss rates depending on the hours, responsibilities, number of children and specific needs of each family.
My Documents
