My Experience

I bring strong interpersonal and active listening skills from my background volunteering with the Samaritans, which helps me remain exceptionally calm, warm, and patient under pressure. Having worked as a Student Librarian, I am also highly organized, safety-conscious, and adept at engaging children with reading, creative learning, and fun activities. Crucially, as the eldest brother to two brothers and two sisters, including a 2-year-old sister, I have extensive daily, hands-on experience caring for children of all ages, managing busy household routines, and looking after toddlers.

My Qualifications

I hold A-Level qualifications in English Literature, History, and Spanish from Blackpool Sixth Form College, demonstrating strong academic, written, and communication abilities. In addition, I have completed formal volunteer training with the Samaritans, which covers active listening, emotional support, and maintaining strict confidentiality and safety standards. My academic background and formal volunteer training allow me to assist school-age children with homework, reading, and educational activities in a structured and supportive manner.

My standard rate starts at £11.00 per hour for general babysitting and childcare duties. Rates are flexible depending on the specific requirements of the job, such as late-night evening bookings, bank holidays, or looking after multiple children at once. I am always happy to discuss tailored rates and arrangements directly with parents beforehand to suit family schedules.
