My husband and I run a Tree Management business together based in Gillingham, Dorset. We have one lovely daughter aged 7 and a sprightly springer spaniel.
My Requirements
I’m looking for someone lovely, reliable and ideally local who could help us with childcare going forward.
The main thing we’re looking for is at least one day a week during the school holidays. Holiday clubs haven’t really worked for our daughter, so we’re hoping to find someone she can get to know and build a relationship with, rather than relying on different arrangements each holiday.
This could also lead to one afternoon a week during term time (approximately 3.20–5pm) — collecting her from Mere Primary School, bringing her home, giving her some dinner and spending some time playing/doing activities with her.
Occasional evening babysitting would also be a real bonus.
She’s a lovely, funny, energetic 7-year-old who may be AuDHD, so we’re particularly looking for someone who is patient, understanding and happy to get to know her as an individual and understand what works (and doesn't work!) for her. We’d really like this to be someone she feels comfortable and happy with and can build a genuine relationship with over time.
We do have a dog who is often but not always at home, no expectation to look after him, just to be tolerant of dogs!
