I'm a 19 year old student at the University of Brighton who loves working with children and is looking to work as a baby sitter and pursue a teaching career post-graduation; I'm studying BA(hons) Photography and want to follow this with a masters in fine art or relevant teaching qualifications such as a PGCE or primary education course. My Experience
I have worked with children both nationally and internationally. I volunteered at Over The Wall Children’s Charity Camp in Perth, Scotland. I was given the role of being given the role of Media Coordinator, encouraging children aged 6-12 with health challenges to get involved with the all the fun and games this camp to offer, whilst also taking organizing the media team and taking photographs for their website.
I have worked at Camp Lake Owego in Pennsylvania, America. I was given the role of arts & crafts counselor, hosting a wide range art related activities such as candle making or tie dye t-shirts to classes of up to 30 children, aged 6- 14. I also slept in the same bunk/cabin with around 12 6th grade children and overlooked different events that involved the arts and crafts department.
For GCSE I did a Sport Management Course, where I lead various inclusive sports activities such as botcha or futsal and umpired football games for children with health challenges. Alongside this, I also did a coaching course and assisted in football/basketball coaching with Access For Sport in London, England. Although this was quite a while ago now, i confidently feel i can turn my hand to any sort of sports related activity.

My Qualifications
I don't have any qualifications related to childcare as of yet, but have lots of relevant experience. I have also been DBS checked twice before, once before working with Over The Wall Children's Charity Camp, and once with Camp Lake Owego. Other qualifications I have include GCSE's and A-level Media, Photography, and Design. I am also currently doing a degree in photography. I'm hoping by gaining more relevant experience i can go on to complete a PGCE or primary education course soon !
My Availability
I am also a full-time student, so am not available 24/7. However, I am available all of Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday. As well as Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons/Evenings.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
A minimum of £9.50 an hour. Or £10 an hour if hired for more than 4 hours in a day.
