About Me
I offer friendly, reliable childcare and tutoring tailored to each child’s individual needs. I can provide support with homework and schoolwork, help children stay organised and engaged with their studies, and provide responsible childcare in a relaxed and supportive environment. I am patient, approachable and attentive, and, as a student who is passionate about education, I aim to make learning feel encouraging and fun rather than stressful. I'm also great with animals, so no need to worry if you have pets at home!
My Experience
I have a strong academic background, having recently graduated with a First Class degree in Psychology, and I am now beginning a postgraduate degree in Neuroscience. Throughout my education, I have regularly supported peers with essays, assignments and studying, and I have developed strong communication, organisation and time-management skills.
I also have experience working as a Student Ambassador at university, where I supported open days, outreach activities and campus events, communicating with prospective students and families. This role required me to be approachable, responsible and organised when working with people of different ages and backgrounds. During this time. I helped plan and deliver multiple events tailored to children, including a family fun day where I ran an activity stall for younger children, and a residential event where I stayed at university overnight with a group of college students!
My Qualifications
I hold a First Class BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology from the University of Winchester. I am currently beginning an MSc in Dementia Neuroscience at UCL, with a particular interest in statistics and research. I have also completed A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, and Psychology, and received grade 9s in my GCSE maths, English (language & literature), biology, and chemistry. I hold a valid Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate.
My Availability
As I mentioned, I am a postgraduate student, so am unavailable when I have classes. I am free every Monday and Tuesday morning with limited afternoon availability, every Wednesday afternoon, and after school Thursdays and Fridays, but this may occasionally change depending on my university timetable. I am available almost every weekend, and can do evenings on weekdays if suitable.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £20.00 per hour
My fees are based on the hourly rate listed on my profile. I am happy to discuss arrangements with families depending on the type and duration of childcare or tutoring required.
