My Experience

I have several years of experience working with children and young people across nursery, youth work and community settings.

Oak Tree Day Nursery – Nursery Assistant | 2016–2017
Supported children with their daily routines, including meals, rest and toilet breaks, as well as planning and supervising fun, educational activities. I also observed children’s behaviour and communicated with parents and staff.

Salmon Youth Centre – Youth Work Apprentice | 2017–2018
Supported children and young people from a range of backgrounds, including young people in care, young carers and those facing other challenges. I helped run drama and cooking clubs, a club for disabled young people, and trips for children aged 6–9, as well as helping to plan events.

Peer Power – Peer Leader | 2019–2025
Worked alongside young people and professionals to improve services and experiences for children and young people. I advocated for young people’s voices and wellbeing and contributed to projects focused on creating positive change.

Blagrave Trust – Young Campaigner | 2022–2023
Delivered sessions around young people’s health and wellbeing and helped create safe, open spaces where they could talk about issues that mattered to them.
