My Summary

My Experience

While looking after a family's 2-year-old girl, I worked in the comfort of her home, planning and doing stimulating and educational activities - she loved the outdoors, so spent lots of time getting muddy! As well as prepping meals and snacks and doing sit-down mealtimes with her, putting her down for naps and bedtime, changing her, etc.
When needed I would accompany the family to meals and events, ensuring the baby was entertained and happy throughout. I worked from 11am - the child's bedtime 3 days a week and 5 days a week when the family had lots going on. I did this for about 4 months.

I worked in a similar role for a family's 1-year-old child, playing with him, feeding him, and putting him down for naps/bed. I worked with him for 18 hours a week for 6 months, and - as I did with the other family I worked for - I kept in communication with the families throughout, giving them updates on our day, how things went, and if there is anything I can do to improve their child's time with me.

I have also babysat for older children in my local town, such as a family of 3 aged 7, 9, 12, playing with them, getting dinner cooked and on the table for them, and settling down for bed. I do this occasionally when they need extra help.

My Qualifications

I am currently exploring some part time uni courses in childcare, and have my paediatric first- aid training lined up. I am also looking into getting my dbs check certificate.

My Availability

I am currently working part-time at a cafe in Exeter. I am looking to move into the career I really love, so after discussion can be available any days for the right role!

My Fees

• Babysitting from £14.50 per hour
• Nannying from £14.50 per hour (gross)
