My Experience

I have gained valuable experience working with children and young people through volunteering at a local youth club and through my role as a Scouts leader. These experiences have allowed me to work closely with young people of different personalities and abilities, supporting them as they learn new skills, take part in activities, and develop their confidence.

As a Scouts leader, I help create and organise activities that encourage teamwork, communication, independence, and personal development. I enjoy supporting young people through new experiences and making sure they feel included and listened to.

My volunteering experience has also helped me develop strong communication, organisation, patience, and responsibility. I understand the importance of supervising children appropriately, maintaining a positive environment, and responding calmly and sensibly to different situations.

My Qualifications

Through my experience working with children and young people, I have developed strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. My roles at the local youth club and as a Scouts leader have helped me become patient, responsible, organised, and confident when working with children of different ages and personalities.

I have also developed the ability to create fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities that encourage children to build confidence, develop new skills, and work well with others. I understand the importance of maintaining a safe and supportive environment and always make children’s wellbeing and safety a priority.

My experience has strengthened my ability to remain calm and approachable in different situations, communicate effectively with both children and adults, and build trusting relationships. I am reliable and committed, and I take my responsibilities seriously when caring for and supporting young people.
