My Experience

Hello! My name is Momoko, and I am a native Japanese speaker currently living in Coventry.

I moved to the UK with my husband, who is studying here as an international student. We are planning to stay in Coventry until around August next year.

I am a qualified childcare worker from Japan with 5 years of professional experience working at nurseries. During my career, I worked with children from 1 to 5 years old, including 1 year with 1-year-olds, 2 years with 2-year-olds, 1 year with 3-year-olds and 1 year with 5-year-olds.

I also have experience working as a babysitter through Poppins Sitter in Japan, where I cared for children in their homes.

I hold a childcare qualification in Japan and have completed first aid and emergency care training.

I am currently learning English. Although my English is still developing, I can communicate in simple English and I am actively working on improving my communication skills. I am also happy to use translation tools when necessary to make sure we can communicate clearly with parents.

As a native Japanese speaker, I would be very happy to support Japanese-speaking families in the Coventry area. I can also introduce children to the Japanese language and culture through everyday conversation, books, songs and play.

I am a warm, responsible and patient person who enjoys spending time with children and helping them feel safe and comfortable.
